She Didn’t Take "NO" as an Answer

At the start of her career in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Nikki was faced with the daunting task of building a practice from the ground up. Armed with years of education and training from incredible TCM practitioners here in the US and in China, it was time to follow her passion and share the wisdom of Chinese medicine to help others lead happier, healthier lives.

At the time, Nikki asked herself,  “where are all the sick people?” The answer came quickly: They’re at the doctor’s office!

That was the day she decided her mission was to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medicine. Nikki realized that if she was able to educate western healthcare providers about the benefits of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for their patients, then not only do the providers have support but the patients are going to benefit as well.

This collaboration with Western healthcare providers did not come easy. Nikki was told many times "NO! We won’t work with you, that’s voodoo! We don’t believe in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine". That didn’t stop her. She knew that people needed alternative healthcare options like Acupuncture and Chinese medicine which collaborates beautifully with Western healthcare as well as all healthcare. Nikki didn’t give up. She felt in her heart that this was the right path. The future of medicine was collaboration and integrative support.

14 years later - YES 14 years - her perseverance and desire to help people is paying off for patients, providers, and the community.

She is now bridging the gap between Eastern and Western medicine with the support of Twins Cities Orthopedics! WOW… Nikki has made it possible for EastWest Acupuncture to collaborate with multiple different healthcare systems, offering support for providers and directly benefitting patients’ health.
