Happy Chinese New Year

2020 is the year of the Rat and is predicted to be a lucky year! The rat symbolizes strong vitality, intelligence, kindness and generosity.

The Chinese New Year is based off the Chinese Lunar Calendar. This particular New Year is a significant one, as the Rat is the first position in the Chinese zodiac, with 2020 resetting the cycle! This means 2020 is a great year for a fresh start!

Here are some ways that you can refresh your mind, body and spirit:

  1. Acupuncture — Chinese Medicine practitioners have used acupuncture for thousands of years to heal imbalances in the body and spirit! Call and make an appointment!

  2. Cupping – Cupping is a great way to improve blood flow, release muscle tension and ease stress and anxiety. We are running a $25 cupping therapy special on Mondays and Tuesdays. Call our clinic for details!

  3. Meditation – Meditation is a fantastic way to clear your mind, reduce stress and improve your sense of connection with yourself. Bonus: Regular meditation can help maintain healthy blood pressure!

  4. Eat nourishing foods – Skip the fast food or quick-to-grab salads and focus on eating foods that actually nourish your body! Incorporate foods like homemade bone broth (so easy to make!), steamed vegetables, antioxidant-rich grains like black rice and quinoa, and immune-boosting spices like garlic, ginger, and turmeric.

If you have any questions or want to set up an appointment, call us today at TCM Wellness Acupuncture Clinic, 612-965-5227. Let us help you get your New Year off to a great start!
